YOUR PERSONAL DATA CENTERJust like the exterior, Volt has an interior with a flow of its own. This unique cockpit-inspired design incorporates a full center console and four sporty bucket seats. Surrounding the passengers are the latest innovations. There are two interactive 7-inch diagonal color LCD screens: the Driver Information Center behind the steering wheel and the center panel touch-screen with efficiency feedback, driving mode selections, available rear camera display and entertainment options.
SELECT YOUR STYLEThe interior color combinations are striking. Choose from standard Premium Cloth in Jet Black or Pebble Beige, or take advantage of the available heated leather-appointed seats, sharply styled in Jet Black with Dark Argent or Ceramic White accents, or Pebble Beige with sueded inserts.
TURN HEADS FOR THE RIGHT REASONSVolt is designed to look like a car, and a good-looking one at that. Bold lines, complementing an aggressive posture, are sculpted with powerful purpose. This smooth exterior contributes to the quick and agile performance.
LEAVE THE WIND IN YOUR WAKEWhen it comes to Volt, form and function unite to create a vehicle that’s sporty, quick, smooth and modern, yet it achieves an extremely low drag coefficient. Countless hours in the wind tunnel influenced the styling of many exterior components including mirrors, a closed grille, rocker panels and the rear spoiler. As it slices through the air, Volt can travel up to an EPA-estimated 38 miles in EV mode without using a single drop of gas. Plus, Volt uses its gas-powered generator to travel up to 380 miles on a full charge and tank of gas, so you won’t have to worry about being stranded in this car.
BRILLIANCE IN EVERY DETAIL
The next-generation 2016 Chevrolet Volt hybrid-electric car combines stunning design and incredible efficiency, offering up to 53 pure electric miles on a single charge. It’s fun to drive, and with a range of up to 420 miles with a full charge and full tank of gas, you’ll make fewer stops. Plus, Chevrolet expects owners will drive 1,000 miles between fill-ups by charging regularly, keeping you confident on long trips from Edmonton to Calgary or Lethbridge
BALANCE OF POWER
With its all-new 1.5L direct-injected, high-efficiency engine, Volt is the electric car with a backup plan. It runs on an electric charge and generates additional electric power through a gas-powered generator when the battery runs out — giving you the confidence to go as far as you want from Alberta to BC and back.
THE SCIENCE OF VOLT
It took a lot of brainpower to make the Volt hybrid-electric car more efficient and fun to drive. Engineers Pam Fletcher and Andrew Farah explain the thinking behind the advanced technologies that go into giving Volt 53 miles of pure electric range.
The default mode. Volt uses the energy stored in the battery before seamlessly transitioning to the gas-powered generator, operating smoothly for most driving scenarios.
Sport mode delivers heightened responsiveness and feedback. Select Sport mode if you desire more aggressive acceleration, although the car’s efficiency may be reduced slightly compared to Normal mode.
Switch to Mountain mode before climbing steep grades. Volt will maintain a power reserve for the climb.
Put the battery on hold for highway commutes. This mode powers Volt with the gas-powered generator instead of the battery, saving your electric range for the pace of stop-and-go city traffic.
